Here at Intégrale, we don’t just specialise in what’s happening underground, we can also lend our expertise to rock surfaces many metres up in the air. During a recent project in Clifton, Bristol, we were commissioned to undertake a Rock Mass Assessment on a 10 metre high limestone cliff face and masonry walls, forming the boundary of a building plot.
Working from a ‘cherry picker’ high access platform, we measured the bedding planes and joints in the rock face, as well as areas of water seepage and mineral deposits, and the structural integrity of the walling. From this detailed assessment, we’re ensuring the cliff and walls are safe and secure for the new build.
It’s a good thing we’re not scared of heights!
